Abnormal heat in the Middle East

Abnormal heat in the Middle East has broken 3 historical records. Incredible heat for March.

+ 42.8 ° C Saudi Arabia
+ 40.0 ° C Bahrain
+ 41.5 ° C Qatar
+ 44.6 ° C Kuwait

Kuwait recorded a temperature of 44.6 ° C on Thursday, March 25, 2021 – the hottest temperature in March for the country and the entire Arabian Peninsula. The heat came complementing the disaster in the form of swarms of locusts that flooded the country, as well as dust storms.

These temperatures are considered non-seasonal, as the hottest days in the Arabian Peninsula begin in June.

Neighboring countries have also broken their temperature records in March over the past couple of days.

“One can only hope the summer won’t be as hot,” said meteorologist Scott Duncan. “I can’t imagine how one can live in this unceasing heat for months on end.”
