An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred near the Kilauea volcano

This earthquake was associated with an explosion in the crater of a volcano as a result of which a powerful ash ash spreading to the southwest was thrown out. The volcanic eruption was such a force that caused an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale.
