Because of the flood in New Zealand evacuated 2 thousand people

Ex-tropical cyclone “Debbie” brought down heavy rains on the North Island in New Zealand. Because of the severe flood, all residents of the city of Edgecamb were evacuated, reports the BBC.

Under the water were about 600 houses. From the disaster zone were evacuated 2 thousand people. People were taken out of a flooded city by boats. In places the water level reaches two meters. The police are searching for one missing person.
