A short period of intense rain in late August 19, 2021 caused severe flooding and landslides in the state of Chihuahua in northern Mexico, where one person died and another was missing.

The state civil defense service reported 80 floods and nine landslides in the state capital, Chihuahua, and surrounding areas during the evening and night of August 19. Twenty-nine roads were closed due to flooding around the city.
