Flood in Australia

47 thousand people in Australia were forced to leave their homes because of the flood, after the powerful cyclone “Debbie”.

Evacuation affected 40 thousand people living in the upper reaches and the lower reaches of the river Tweed, as well as on the Wilson River in the city of Lismore, where 7 thousand people are due to leave.

Cyclone “Debbie” hit the Australian state of Queensland where the wind speed reached 263 kilometers per hour. The cyclone caused significant damage to the population, tens of thousands of people were left without electricity. At present, 45 thousand houses are left without light.
