Flooding in India

774 people were victims of bad weather in seven states of India since the monsoon rainy season, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to these data, the southern state of Kerala suffered the most from the impacts of the elements – 187 people died from the strikes of the elements. Following this list are Uttar Pradesh (171 victims), West Bengal (170 victims), and Maharashtra (139 dead).

Reports of the deaths also came from the states of Gujarat (52 people), Assam (45 people) and Nagaland (eight people). It is noted that, in total, almost 250 people in seven states were injured as a result of incidents caused by heavy rainfall. More than 30 people are reported missing.

Currently, the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are conducting joint operations to save citizens, as well as to eliminate the effects of monsoon showers in various parts of the country.
