Flooding in Nepal

The death toll from floods and landslides caused by torrential rains in Nepal has reached 55.

Previously received information about 50 dead. At present, according to the Nepalese Ministry of Internal Affairs, at least 30 people are missing, more than 30 were seriously injured.

Torrential rains began in Nepal on Thursday. The elements affected more than 20 regions of the country, more than 1.1 thousand people were evacuated. As a result of landslides, several highways were blocked. Almost 30 thousand members of the security forces mobilized in order to provide the necessary assistance.

As weather forecasters predict, the weather in the affected regions will begin to improve on Monday.
