The Uganda Red Cross Society said in a statement that heavy rains and a storm, which lasted about three hours, damaged four villages: Kirombe, Garage Villa and the Nagaira Valley.

“More than 1,000 people were injured, roofs were torn down at 50 houses, crops were destroyed, two seriously injured were taken to the Sironko III polyclinic, and others were slightly injured,” the statement said.
