Due to floods the traffic in the capital of the Australian state of Victoria has been severely impeded. Many roads turned into rivers. Several drivers were in the “water traps”, they needed the help of rescuers.
Only emergency services received about 1,2 thousand of calls from local residents asking for help. In one of the buildings as a result of rain hit the ceiling. In some areas, only 10 minutes fell more than 18 mm of precipitation.
Due to the bad weather had disrupted the movement of trains. There are delays flights at Melbourne airport. In the state of Victoria still operates a storm warning. Locals warn of possible floods and disruptions in the supply of electricity.
