As a result of the complex of dangerous meteorological phenomena associated with the fallout of heavy rainfall and wind on July 29-30, 2017 in the territory of the Novgorod Region, flooding of individual territories occurred on the territory of Veliky Novgorod, Novgorod, Starorussky and Kholm municipal districts.
On the scene, the chief of the Main Directorate of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia for the Novgorod Region, Colonel of Internal Service Gavkalyuk BV is working.
To monitor the situation, the operational group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia for the Novgorod Region and the operational group of the Central Control Center were sent to the scene. On-site work groups of local fire and rescue garrisons and Administrations of the Novgorod, Starorussky and Kholm municipal districts operate.
From 08.00 on 30.07.2017 the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia for the Novgorod Region organized the work of the interdepartmental operational headquarters for the liquidation of emergencies.
Interaction with the IDGC of the North-West, JSC, Novgorodenergo, local authorities and municipal services was organized.
At present, measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of flooding and to monitor the livelihoods of the population.
