Hurricane “Florence” left hundreds of dead fish on the highway

After the floods caused by Hurricane Florence went down, hundreds of dead fish were found at Motorway 40 near Wallace, North Carolina.

The flood from the deadly hurricane took the fish out of its natural habitat and brought it to the motorway. The Pender County Fire Department was instructed to clean the road by watering the site with a fire hose.

“Well, now we can add the washing of the motorway from the fish to a long list of interesting things that firefighters can face!” The department’s employees wrote on their official Facebook page.

To date, downpours in the region have almost ceased, but the level of water in individual rivers continues to grow, which is why new floods are possible, they are advised by the states of North and South Carolina.
