Earthquakes covered a 5-kilometer stretch of the San Andreas fault. Seventeen were stronger than 2.5 points and six were stronger than 3.0 points on the Richter scale. In one week, 134 earthquakes were registered.
The greatest earthquake in 4.6 points was felt in San Francisco. In connection with this seismic activity, there were fears that they are harbingers of a more serious cataclysm.
Experts warn that seismic activity continues to increase and a series of earthquakes is expected this week.
