A magnitude 5.3 earthquake occurred in the North of Costa Rica, said on Sunday, the U.S. Geological survey (USGS).
It is noted that aftershocks were recorded July 2, at 19.58, local time (July 3 04.58 GMT). The earthquake epicenter was located four kilometers East of the town of La Fortuna, in the North of the country. The earthquake lies at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Information on possible victims and destructions did not arrive yet.
