In India, already 26 people were killed by lightning strikes

The death toll from lightning strikes in the state of Bihar in northern India has increased to 26 people, IANS reports with reference to the Emergency Response Department of the State of Anirudha Kumara.

In Bangladesh, more than 20 people were killed by lightning strikes in two days

Previously reported 19 dead from lightning strikes in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

According to the agency, among the dead there are women and children. More than 10 people were injured.

In India, a high death rate from lightning strikes, most of the deaths occur during the rainy season. So, at the end of June 2016 in Bihar, 56 people were killed from lightning strikes per day.
