In the morning of 1 August on the Indonesian rinjani volcano the eruption began with the emission of smoke and volcanic materials. Tourists vacationing in Bali, received a warning of a possible delay of flights related to the movement of volcanic ash clouds.
At the moment the airline Virgin Australia has already canceled one of the flights, other carriers are awaiting more information from the meteorologists. Ash plume moving in a South-westerly direction and is expected to cover Lombok international airport around 8 PM.
Mount rinjani is located in the Malay archipelago and is among the most active volcanoes of Indonesia. The last time it erupted in November of last year and led to the present chaos in international air travel.
