A group of eight children and one adult were injured in Paris as a result of a lightning strike during a severe thunderstorm. The incident occurred in the Park Monceau, located in the North-Western part of the capital.
A storm in Paris was short, but very strong. The population of her approach had been warned in advance.
Three children were taken to hospital in a critical condition, said fire and rescue service.
Thunderstorms are happening across the country within three days, sometimes accompanied by heavy hail. Last night in one of the areas of France near the border with Switzerland, there were more than 1500 lightning strikes.
Lightning poses a danger on Saturday in the vast corridor, crossing mainly the Eastern part of the country from South to North. Bad weather in the country will continue at least for four days.
