In Singapore, lightning struck a subway train

In Singapore, lightning struck a subway train on the open section of the route. As a result, at least one person was allegedly injured.

The incident occurred between the Tanah Merah and Paya Lebar stations on the East-West Line at around 16:00 local time on November 20.

As a result, the movement of trains along this branch was suspended for ten minutes.

The train was eventually taken off the line. Earlier in the local metro management company SMRT said that passengers and machinists are completely protected from lightning strikes, and any physical impact on them is extremely unlikely.
