The tropical storm, named “Mary”, formed in the Atlantic Ocean on September 16, reached the strength of the first category hurricane.
The maximum wind speed in the epicenter is 122 km / h, with gusts up to 146 km / h. The lower pressure reaches 982 mbar.
At the moment, the hurricane is moving in the north-west direction at a speed of about 23 kilometers per hour.
The hurricane will affect the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. By the middle of the week, hurricane “Maria” could become the 3rd category and reach the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
