Indonesian authorities fear catastrophic eruption of Agung volcano

The authorities of Indonesia warn tourists about the danger of the eruption of the stratovolcano Agung: the territory of the “forbidden zone” around the volcano was expanded by 2 times.

Over the past month, the level of danger of eruption reaches a critical level is not the first time. The territory of the “forbidden zone” around the volcano was expanded two-fold – foreign guests should not approach Agunga at a distance of less than 6-7.5 km.

Near the volcano, all popular types of sports tourism are also banned, and local residents are warned about a possible emergency evacuation.
