At least 8 people were injured as a result of the tornado in the province of Caserta in the Italian region of Campania.
Destructions are observed in several municipalities near the city of Caserta. Tornadoes tore up trees, crashed billboards and roadside signs, overturned several trucks, carried dozens of meters of cars, tore up the roofs of houses. Several districts of Caserta were left without electricity.
The authorities decided to close all educational institutions in order to assess the damage in detail and prevent possible collapse of buildings.
