Large-scale devastating floods hit Morocco

Destructive floods hit many parts of Morocco, turning streets and roads into raging rivers.

In Yusufiya, the destruction caused by the breakthrough of water through neighboring areas was reported. The traffic was completely stopped on most city roads in the city.

In the SEZ, two hours of continuous rain caused severe flooding, resulting in several traffic accidents. Alleys and streets were flooded.

Significant losses were recorded in the city of El Qelaa de Sragna in central Morocco, where livestock were killed, including about 30 sheep. 70 houses were destroyed, but no casualties were reported. As a result, families were forced to stay outside as they sought safer areas.
