Lava flows on the southeastern slope of Klyuchevsky volcano, Russia

A moderate explosive eruption of the strombolic and sometimes volcanic types continues on the Klyuchevskaya volcano. The aviation color code remains orange.

On April 18, the lava flow began to move on the southeastern slope of the volcano.

By 10.10 p.m. UTC, a gas-vapor plume containing some ash spread about 100 km to the NE of the volcano. It rose to a height of 5.5 km above sea level.
