Lightning killed 34 cows in Chhattisgarh, India

Thirty-four heads of cattle were killed by a lightning strike in the village of Ugetara.

The villagers informed the administration on whose orders the police and the Aranga veterinary service arrived at the scene. Sarpanch Satish Kumar Dhruv said the incident happened around 7:00 pm when lightning struck with a thunderous sound and 34 cows fell dead.

The cattle carcasses were buried after dissection by the veterinary department in the presence of the Aranga police.

After the incident, general grief and panic reigned in the village, as the residents lost the most valuable thing they had in their household.
