Lightning strikes killed at least 16 Bangladeshis, including a woman and four miners.
According to the report, lightning has struck continuously over the past 24 hours in different parts of Bangladesh, including Faridpur, Manikganj, and Kishoreganj district, which, in addition to the casualties, has caused great financial losses in the country.
It should be noted that lightning is one of the natural phenomena in Bangladesh that occurs between April and June, causing significant human and financial damage to the people of that country every year.
In recent days, the government of Bangladesh has repeatedly warned about the dangers of lightning in various parts of the country. However, it is said that a lack of awareness among some citizens, especially in rural areas, as well as warming sea levels and rivers have led to an increase in lightning strikes in this Asian country.
