Locusts devastate fields, crops and pastures in Chile

Residents and small-scale farmers of Agua Amarilla and Huacho in Combarbal, Chile, are faced with an outbreak of millions of locusts, devastating crops, trees and pastures.

Communities have already reported serious damage: people began to worry about their livelihoods and asked the authorities to eradicate the plague of insects.

Flying insects move westward within the Combarbal region, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
