Natural fires in the United States claim more lives

According to the US media, to date, the number of victims of wildfires raging in the western states of the United States has reached at least 29. Earlier it was reported about 23 dead.

So, in California, since mid-August this year, as a result of a raging fire element, 19 people have died, in Washington state, two children have become victims of fires, in Oregon the death toll has reached at least eight, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the National Interdepartmental Fire Center, there are now about 100 fires raging in the western United States, the smoke from which can be dangerous for residents of California, Oregon, Washington and parts of Idaho.

Some of the wildfires have reached record levels in their area. Thus, the most difficult situation is developing in California, Oregon and Washington. The total area of ​​fires is over 1.9 million hectares.

On the eve of the deputy press secretary of the White House, Judd Deere said that on Monday, September 14, US President Donald Trump will travel to California, where he will hear a report from local authorities on the situation with forest fires.
