New Orleans flooded again

In the American New Orleans, which in 2005 was flooded by the devastating hurricane “Katrina”, floods again – because of heavy downpours of the street almost a meter flooded with water, according to media reports.

On Wednesday morning, strong thunderstorms hit New Orleans, causing street flooding, writes NOLA.com.
By 9.30 local time (17.30 Moscow time), the authorities reported that flooding on the streets of the city was recorded in three districts of the city.

Forecasters predict that heavy rain can cause flooding in 14 more districts of the city. In a number of areas of the city, rivers and lakes have already formed, which have flooded cars. Buses and trams went to the depot at the time of flooding, according to the portal. Also, all the premises of the New Orleans Public Library and the city mayor’s office are closed, most officials were allowed to stay at home.

Meteorologists also warned citizens about the threat of a tornado.
