On the Greek islands, the cyclone “Numa”

The Greek authorities declared a state of emergency on the island of Symi, where the cyclone “Numa” caused significant material damage.

On the island of Symi in the Aegean Sea, as a result of heavy torrential rains, there were mudflows, houses damaged, stores flooded, 12 vehicles washed away in the sea, electricity and water supply were disconnected, sewerage was not working.

Rescuers, volunteers and military equipment from the army have already arrived to the island to restore roads and utility networks.
