An impressive deep cyclone, named “Barbara” by the Spanish Meteorological Agency, is heading towards Europe, bringing strong winds and very heavy rainfall. Portugal and Spain were the first to feel its consequences, where red and orange warnings are in effect today.
Barbara is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain to Portugal and Spain on Wednesday October 21st.
The rain will then spread further into France, where orange and yellow warnings now cover most of the country.
Although no major cataclysms are expected in the United Kingdom, on October 21 Barbara will cause heavy rainfall in the southeast and possibly central England.
