In the Perm Territory, radiation fog is expected at night and in the morning, forecasters warn.
Radiation is a special type of fog.
They appear as a result of radiation cooling of the earth’s surface and a mass of humid surface air to the dew point. This is part of the radiation exchange between the lower atmosphere and the underlying surface.
In summer, rapid heating of the underlying surface usually ensures the dispersion of the radiation fog 1–2 hours after sunrise. In autumn, fog can persist for 3-5 hours after sunrise
This natural phenomenon has nothing to do with harmful radiation, it is not dangerous for people and animals.
