Some locals were excitedly throwing snowballs in the town square, and in another town a soccer game was suspended due to a rare snowfall for these areas.
In Arequipa, Peru, cars were parked on the side of the road after snow covered the entire area, turning the roads into an ice rink.
The cold weather is expected to continue in Bolivia and Peru for the rest of the week.
