According to the Anak Krakatoa Volcano Observatory, the eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 45 mm and a maximum duration of 45 seconds.
The best ground estimate of the top of the ash cloud is about 657 m (2,102 ft) above sea level, which may be higher than what can be clearly observed.
The alarm level remains at level 2 (on a scale of 1 to 4).
