The area of Arctic ice reached a critical point

In 2016, the area of Arctic sea ice has reached a critical point, such data is reported to national data center of snow and ice in Colorado. With the help of satellite monitoring, scientists recorded a record low ice in the Arctic. The ice area in 2016 amounted to 4 million square kilometers by 2.57 million sq km less than the 1979-2000 period G.

The consequences of this climatic process will affect the climate of the whole Earth. The sharp decline of Arctic sea ice changes weather conditions in the middle latitudes. Climatologists believe that devastating weather anomalies occurring in recent years may be caused by melting of ice.
