The Ebeko volcano threw a column of ash

The Ebeko volcano erupting on one of the Kuril Islands – Paramushir, threw a column of ash to a height of 250 m, in Severo-Kurilsk passed pupload.

Ash plume spread in an easterly direction from the volcano. The loss of ash (up to 2 mm) recorded in the city of Severo-Kurilsk. According to the MOE, the odor of hydrogen sulfide in the city was not felt, for the population of Severo-Kurilsk and aviation emissions does not pose a danger.

The volcano Ebeko (height – 1 thousand 156 m), located on the island of Paramushir greater Kuril ridge is 6 km from the town of Severo-Kurilsk.
