The eruption of the volcano was shot close-up

Volcanologists at Cambridge University managed to capture a volcanic eruption close-up with the help of a drone. The corresponding video is posted on the YouTube channel of the school.

Since a mixture of toxic and hot gases enters the air during discharges of molten rocks, it is risky to observe volcanic activity in the immediate vicinity. To solve this problem, the researchers used an unmanned aircraft with a fixed wing. He ascended to the top of the active volcanoes of Fuego and Pacaya, which are in the territory of Guatemala in Central America. This allowed scientists to register emissions that could not otherwise be seen.
