The Gulf of Mexico is approaching the subtropical storm “Alberto”

The subtropical storm “Alberto”, which was formed in the Caribbean Sea, is moving towards the Gulf of Mexico. This is reported by the National Hurricane Surveillance Center, whose headquarters are located in Miami (Florida, USA).

Currently, Alberto is located about 160 kilometers southeast of the Mexican island of Cozumel. The speed of the wind in the epicenter reaches 65 kilometers per hour, TASS reports.

According to forecasts of specialists, on the weekend, heavy rains will collapse on the Yucatan peninsula, the US state of Florida, the western part of Cuba and the north-eastern coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
