The number of earthquakes increased in Yellowstone

The Yellowstone National Park, located in the state of Wyoming, on which the famous Yellowstone super-volcano is located, is experiencing an unprecedented surge in seismic activity, only 440 have been registered in the last week.

The strongest occurred on July 15 and its magnitude was 4.5 on the Richter scale, other earthquakes have different magnitudes from 1 to 4 points.

All that is happening really scares US residents, but the Geological Survey continues to maintain that the risk of the Yellowstone eruption is very small. The level of threat of the eruption of the sleeping super volcano remains at a normal level and no warnings about the danger of visiting the Yellowstone National Park have been published.

On assurances of scientists, the probability of Yellowstone eruption for the next year is estimated as 1 to 730,000. At the same time, it is not explained with what is the increase of seismic activity in this region. Moreover, if the volcano explodes, then the power of its explosion will be equal to the explosion of tens of thousands of nuclear bombs and the whole of North America will be under a thick layer of ash, and climatic changes will affect the entire planet.
