The Qesongo Mud Volcano in Central Java, Indonesia, erupted around 08:00 LT on December 3, 2021, spreading mud over an area of about 2 hectares.
According to media reports, the eruption lasted less than 5 minutes and the maximum height of the mud jet was about 15 meters.
The last eruption of this volcano occurred around 05:00 LT on August 27, 2020, resulting in 4 people being poisoned and 19 buffalo missing.
At the time of the incident, four men were herding buffalo very close to the site of the explosion. They reportedly felt faint after inhaling the fumes and were taken to the hospital.
