A tornado came ashore from the Black Sea near the Burgas beach in Sochi, reported the Emergency Situations Department of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory on September 1.
“In the waters of the Black Sea near the Adler district of Sochi, the formation of a tornado was recorded. It came ashore near the beach “Burgas”, – stated in the message of the press service of the department.
It is specified that as a result of the accident there are no dead or injured. Damaged about 30 sun loungers.
Now there is an emergency warning at the resort in connection with the weather, which will last until September 3. All municipal and urban services have been put on heightened alert.
In the Krasnodar region is expected variable cloudiness, intermittent rain and thunderstorm in places. Heavy rain and downpours, combined with thunderstorms, hail and strong winds of 20-22 m/s are predicted in some areas.
According to the forecast, from September, 1 till September, 3 heavy precipitation is expected in Adler (51 mm), Dzhugba (29 mm), Krasnaya Polyana (32 mm), Sochi (71 mm), Tuapse (68 mm).
On August 24 it was reported that authorities of Anapa prolonged a ban on swimming in the sea near the influx of rivers imposed earlier by Rospotrebnadzor.
On August 20 Rospotrebnadzor banned residents and guests of Anapa to swim in the area where rivers flow into the Black Sea within 100 meters on both sides due to waterlogging of recreational areas.
