The unprecedented invasion of caterpillars was recorded in the UK

Rockingham Forest, Northamptonshire, is captured by innumerable caterpillars that have crocheted their webs all around, turning city landscapes into a scene more suitable for horror films.

Caterpillars wove this net around their cocoons to protect the larvae from predators. As experts noted, this type of caterpillar is absolutely not dangerous and will disappear by the networks to the end of June, when the pupae will cease to moths. Perhaps, extraordinary activity is caused by a very hot spring.
