Thousands of homes damaged by flooding in Bandung, Indonesia

Heavy rain on March 25 caused the Tsitarum River and its tributaries to flood in Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia.

Flooding was reported in the Dyeuhkolot, Balienda, Bojonsoang, Chikalenka and Rankaekek areas, with depths exceeding 1 meter in some areas.

As of March 26, more than 10,000 homes, as well as schools, public buildings and roads, have been damaged, according to authorities. A total of 60,539 people were affected by the floods, 39 of whom were displaced.
