An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred on Saturday south of Manila, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
The shocks were recorded at 07.09 UTC time (10.09 MSK) one kilometer south-southwest of the Talag area on the island of Luzon. The earthquake focus was located at a depth of about 42.7 kilometers.
The geological service also reported another earthquake in the southern part of the island. Its magnitude was 5.5.
Information about casualties and destruction has not been received yet.
