Twelve-meter whale washed ashore on Iturup island

A twelve-meter whale washed ashore in the Kasatka Bay of Iturup Island. His carcass was found by local residents.

They argue that this is not an isolated incident. Many more whales stranded ashore this year. During the spring – autumn period, about ten carcasses of minke whales from 12 to 15 meters in length were recorded in Iturup.
