Drone Ehang 184, first introduced at CES in January of this year, will be tested in Las Vegas. It will be used as taxi to carry passengers.
Currently, the Chinese company Ehang is discussing the launch of the project together with specialists from the Nevada Institute of Autonomous systems.
Drone taxis will be expensive. One such machine will cost about 200 thousand euros. Ehang 184 weighs 200 kg. the Machine has eight rotors, capable of lifting a man to the height of 500 meters. Taxi will be able to fly for 23 minutes without recharging batteries. To navigate the drone will use Google maps and to detour obstacles – different sensors. For Ehang flight 184 will monitor the dispatchers from the ground point.
