The army of spider crabs was captured on video

The film crew of the documentary series “The Blue Planet” on the British television channel BBC Earth managed to shoot a whole army of spider crabs that are striding to drop shells. And it looks very eerie.

Crab spiders got their name for very long paws, which make them look like spiders. The family includes about 200 species of sea crabs, and Japanese spider crab is the largest crustacean species in modern history. During the first winter full moon, hundreds of thousands of arthropods flee to the water, where the shells are dropped, from which they grew. This is quite an interesting sight, but if you are afraid of spiders or crabs, better not watch this video!
