Bionic arm from Deus Ex to become a reality

Company Open Bionics, Eidos-Montréal and Razer decided to join forces and to make a reality of a bionic arm inspired by the series of sci-Fi computer game Deus Ex. The objective of the project Augmented Future — to develop an affordable prosthetic that is not only functional but also elegant.

The partners agreed to cooperate at all stages of production — from design to 3D printing. Canadian Studio Eidos-Montréal, who developed Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: The Fall, will be engaged in visual design and concepts of bioruby, and Open Bionics — will produce the high-tech prosthesis prototype based on the provided samples.

In turn, the manufacturer of gaming hardware Razer will provide the Stargazer camera and tracking technology that will allow virtual “try on” Kaberuka. So, potential customers will immediately understand how it will look in their new body part.

In addition, Open Bionics and Eidos-Montréal has promised to lay out drawings and other developments in open access to birukou print on a 3D printer was available for everyone.
