Created by folding a bulletproof shield

Experts from Brigham young University have created lightweight folding bulletproof shield that will be able to use the security services. A new shield will be easy to transport and at the right time to deploy in just 5 seconds.

The shield consists of 12 layers of Kevlar. It weighs only 25 kg. For comparison, conventional panels on the basis of steel weigh 2 times more. During testing, the shield successfully stopped a bullet of caliber of 9 mm, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. The researchers were afraid that the bullets .44 Magnum can knock over the shield, but this did not happen.
