The Latvian extremal Ingus Ogstkaln jumped off the drone from a height of about 330 meters. The device, equipped with 28 screws, was manufactured by Aerones. It was launched from a platform that was 120 meters high. After the drone climbed to a height of 330 meters, Overtzkaln jumped off of it and after a few moments landed on a parachute.
According to representatives of Aerones, this is the first jump in the world of a person from such a device at a high altitude.
The drone weighs about 70 kg. He is able to carry a cargo weighing 200 kg. Currently, the duration of a continuous flight of the device is about 10 minutes.
The Dron is able to fly at a speed of 150 km / h, but it is difficult to control it at this speed, therefore, to accomplish the jumps the device must fly at a speed of no more than 60 km / h.
