In Japan, a robotic farm will be opened

In Kyoto, a fully robotic farm will be built: the salad will be grown there by robots, and there will not be people at all.

The company Spread is engaged in the production of lettuce-lettuce – a green vegetable, much more popular in Japan than in Russia. The new project of the company, the robotic farm “Vegetable Factory”, means 30 thousand cabbage salad a day. The entire production process is organized without the participation of people.

Industrial robots will sow and water the salad and cut the heads. Human intervention will only be required when the sensors installed in the greenhouse fix deviations from the production plan.

Organized “Vegetable Factory” will be a vertical farm type: vegetables on such farms grow several floors under the light of LED lamps.
