In Japan created a robot who knows how to play ping pong

Japanese engineer Taku OYA from the company Omron has developed a robot called FORPHEUS, which is able to play table tennis, the website of the Guinness Book of records.

According to the developer, FORPHEUS allows you to improve the skills of the game of ping-pong through artificial intelligence.

The robot is equipped with multiple cameras, recording the flight of the ball with a frequency of 80 times per second. FORPHEUS adapts to the style of play of the person, determining the level of preparation. Thus it can act as a teacher or sparring partner in table tennis.
